JALIO ยท Silo monitoring
JALIO measures temperature and relative humidity inside the silo, checks each batch against moisture limits for its crop, and alerts you before stored grain or feed loses quality. Less waste, more control, better storage.
Why monitor a silo
Stored grain and feed change quietly. When moisture and temperature drift, heating and spoilage can take hold deep in the silo long before anyone sees them from outside.
Continuous measurement turns that into data you can act on in time, and into a traceable record of how each batch was stored.
How it works
Jalio UBM devices in the silo measure temperature and relative humidity. Several devices can go in one silo for location-specific readings.
Readings travel in real time over the mobile network, or Wi-Fi where it reaches, to the JALIO service on a server in Finland.
For each batch you record the crop, fill date and quantity. JALIO checks the readings against moisture limits for that crop, based on equilibrium moisture content models.
When a limit is exceeded, JALIO alerts you, so you can aerate, dry or deliver the batch while there is still time.
The device
The JALIO device is built on UBM, our own IoT platform: an ESP32-S3 controller with galvanically isolated interfaces, environmental sensors, and an add-in card for 4G/5G IoT networks and satellite positioning.
Because we build the device, the server and the applications, one company is responsible for every reading, from the silo to your screen.

What you get
Terms
The devices and the cloud service come for a fixed monthly fee. The contract runs for three years, after which you can buy the device outright. Installation is billed separately.
